A first information report (FIR) has been lodged against a drone camera operator, who was filming Munawar Faruqui’s Bigg Boss 17 victory celebration, according to a report by free press newspaper. A large crowd gathered at Dongri to celebrate Munawar’s victory. Munawar had also bought the coveted trophy from him while he was standing on the sunroof of his car. According to the same report, the Munawar Faruqui fan, identified as Arbaaz Yusuf Khan (26), was first spotted by Constable Nitin Shinde, who was on patrol with PSI Tausif Mulla. The cops reportedly informed the police station after approaching the drone operator that he did not have permission to use the drone during the celebration in Mumbai’s Dongri. Police also reportedly confiscated the drone’s camera.
A case has reportedly been filed for violating the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s orders regarding the use of drones, which requires prior permission. Previously, the police had banned the use of flying objects, including drone cameras, keeping public safety in mind. The only exceptions are for aerial surveillance purposes by police officers or with specific permission granted in writing by the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The celebration of Munawar
Comedian Munawar Faruqui became the winner of Bigg Boss 17. He received a grand welcome from thousands of his fans at Dongri in Mumbai. In a video, he was seen opening the sunroof of his car to stay there. A sea of crowd gathered around his car. He took a look at his Bigg Boss trophy and was seen lifting it.
The winner of the reality show also made a gesture to encourage him. His fans shouted, tried to shake his hand, click pictures and greet him. Munawar greeted them with folded hands and thanked them for their support.

Earlier, Munawar had shared a photo with Bigg Boss 17 host Salman Khan. His post read: “Bohot bohot shukriya janta. “Aapke pyaar aur support ke liye aakhir kar tropic Dongri aa hello gayi (Thank you so much people. With his love and support, the trophy finally reached Dongri).” He also added, “Special thanks to Bhai (elder brother) @beingsalmankhan sir for all the guidance from him… We have made it.”
