FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) – The Fairhope Volunteer Fire Department and several other fire departments were called to Rock Creek Golf Course shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday for a maintenance shed on fire.

According to Fairhope VFD, crews from Fairhope, with help from Daphne and Silverhill fire departments, began battling the flames as the shed was collapsing on itself. Barnwell and Silverhill fire departments supplied tankers. A track hoe was brought in to pull the tin apart to get to the fire and hot spots, officials said.

Fire-rescue crews told FOX10 News there were no injuries, but the shed and all the equipment inside are a total loss.

Barnwell VFD covered the Fairhope jurisdiction while we were at the Rock Creek, during the incident, according to Fairhope VFD.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
