The latest free update for infinite halo brings the legendary Mjolnir Mark IV armor core, multi-core shoulder customization along with a host of HCS and Silver Team themed goodness for your Spartan, a new map, three new operations and much more. Let’s dig in to see it all…

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

OPERATION: SPIRIT OF FIRE
As part of today’s update, all players will receive the classic Mark IV Armor Core for free. Simply enter the game and you will find him waiting for you in the Armor Hall.
This fan-favorite armor has appeared on characters such as halo wars and Halo Wars 2, halo legends, halo 5: Guardiansand now this legendary version of Mjolnir has come to infinite halo.
And what better way to kick off the upgrade than with the opportunity to further equip the Mark IV Armor Core?
Enter Operation: Spirit of Fire, which runs from January 30 to March 5 and features 20 tiers of free customization rewards, including new armor attachments, platings, weapon charms, emblems, and more.
You know the drill with Operations: in addition to the free pass, there are two additional premium options you can purchase.
- 500 credits will make the Operation Pass durable (it won’t expire), offer additional XP during the Operation live window, an additional challenge slot while your pass is equipped, and comes with an exclusive customization item.
- 2,000 credits instantly unlock all 20 Operation Pass tiers upon purchase and include the exclusive bonus customization item.
The additional customization element for this operation is the Evolved MA5, a weapon model for your assault rifle that will transform the sleek and modern MA40 into the classic, chunky design reminiscent of the MA5B seen in Halo: CE and halo wars.
When Operation Fire Spirit concludes on March 5, there are still two more free Operations to take us until April 30!

MIRAGE
Today’s update also brings a brand new map to infinite halotitled Illusion.
Illusion takes place inside an abandoned ONI black site where old experiments with recovered (and familiar) Covenant technology remain.
Described as a love letter to map design Halo: Evolved CombatIllusion features a unique midsection where a corridor has the characteristics of active camouflage, so players who go to the center will become invisible.
MULTIPURPOSE SHOULDER CUSTOMIZATION
Our multi-purpose trip for infinite haloCustomization continues with the addition of shoulder pads that can be equipped on any Armor Core.
As before, this multi-purpose armor expansion works retroactively, so all current shoulder pads are multi-core enabled and all shoulders in the future will also be multi-core.
Following the work done in previous updates to make helmets, visors and many skins multi-core, there are now billions of possible combinations available in infinite halo. We can’t wait to see the latest and greatest Spartan on the battlefield!
FORGE UPGRADES
Forge continues to evolve as we aim for highly requested additions, improvements, and quality of life improvements. Here are some of the highlights of the new toys you can play with in infinite haloForging of:
Do you need more purple? Over 70 new Covenant-themed structural pieces, primitives, accents and decals are now available for Forgers to create exciting experiences dating back to auraThe roots.
This new functionality allows players to script modes in Node Graph like a prefab, then save, share, and play those experiences, just as you would with a mode created in the custom game menu.
Forge Mode Creator will make it easier for modes to be shared and played, connect to community maps, and free up map budget (as mode logic will no longer include a map budget cost).

Players can now adjust up to three colors on selected foliage objects and add more embellishments and details to their maps with decals that mimic spots, foliage overgrowth, and more.
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FORGE AI TOOLKIT
New behaviors and traits have been added to the Forge AI toolkit, including:
- New Squad Behavior: Wander when idle
Available in the AI Spawner object. When activated, AI units in this generated squad will roam around their assigned AI movement zone when idle.

- Damage resistance
- Health Recharge
- Speed of movement
- Turret Movement Speed
- Prevent gun firing

Visors will also be given to each Silver Team member as a free reward! Simply log into Halo Infinite in these corresponding weeks and they will be unlocked for you.

YEAR ONE LAUNCH PACKS ARE BACK
After much demand from the community, we will be bringing back the first packs for each HCS team that infinite halo released in 2021, with some major improvements!
The armor and weapon kits have been unlocked, meaning you can now customize them with these coatings for the first time. Additionally, they are now all multi-purpose, meaning you can use the armor, visors, or weapon coatings on any UNSC armor, helmet, or weapon.
If you already purchased these launch packs when infinite halo published, the content will be applied retroactively. If you missed these packs the first time around, they’re now available again for teams still in the Halo Championship Series: FaZe Clan, OpTic Gaming, Sentinels, Spacestation Gaming, and Cloud9.
YEAR THREE LAUNCH PACKS
The Year 3 HCS packs also arrived with all-new designs, including new multi-purpose armor plating and visors. These have been created by the teams themselves and feature their unique branding.
Plus, get the Dracon Bandit weapon model for the M392 Bandit and Bandit EVO by purchasing the bundle that supports your favorite HCS team; the majority of profits go to partner teams to maintain their participation in the Halo ecosystem.
