Williams has shown off the livery that will adorn its cars during the upcoming F1 season at a special launch ceremony in New York.

Following the reveals of the McLaren and Haas designs, it was the Grove team’s turn to unveil its color scheme for next year, with an evolved deep blue design that the team says “links the championship-winning heritage of Williams with his mission to return.” at the front of the grill.”

Williams also took the opportunity to announce a new multi-year partnership with Komatsu, a leading manufacturer of heavy industrial, forestry, construction and mining equipment.

The two parties previously enjoyed a successful partnership in the 1980s and 1990s, when Williams won a number of races and championships, including supplying gearbox components for the 1996 and 1997 title-winning cars.

With James Vowles brought in as team principal early last year in an effort to usher in a new era of success, the operation enjoyed an immediate rise from the bottom of the F1 constructors’ standings to seventh position in 2023 – Alex Albon scored all but one of his points.

Albon will remain with the team for a third consecutive season in 2024, with Logan Sargeant retained alongside him after his rookie stint.

“It’s a major milestone to unveil the 2024 livery in an iconic New York City location,” Vowles said, and the launch will take place at PUMA’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue.

“Since joining Williams Racing a year ago, I have seen this team come together to overcome a series of challenges and take seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship, which meant a lot to everyone involved. We have also shown the world that we are laying the foundation to move forward.

“We will continue to strengthen the team both on and off the track through improvements to our infrastructure, investing in our people and attracting fantastic new partners like Komatsu.

“Of course, there is still a long way to go on this journey together, but I know that our fans, partners and everyone at Grove HQ are working together to create a new story for this iconic team.
