The first photos of Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs in the new version of The Raven have been revealed, giving a look at the new version of James O’Barr’s original graphic novel. Watch the following photos.
Directed by Rupert Sanders, the film, scheduled for release on June 7, sees Skarsgård taking on the lead role.
“Soulmates Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when demons from their dark past catch up with them,” the official synopsis reads. “Given the opportunity to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to exact ruthless revenge on his murderers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to right the wrongs.”
the cast of The Raven Also includes Danny Huston, Isabella Wei, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila and Jordan Bolger.
Zach Baylin and William Schneider wrote the screenplay. Producers are Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks and the late Samuel Hadida and Ed Pressman.
Pressman Film CEO Sam Pressman talked about the reboot in an interview last year, teasing that the film would blow audiences away.
“The Raven “It’s been a very central and integral part of our company and I’m really proud of the progress and the work that’s been done,” Pressman said in a September 2023 interview. “I think the movie will just blow people away.” . “Our partners want to approach it in a very 360 way, whether it’s video games, an animated series or a universe, but it has this cosmic legacy that can expand beyond a singular story.”
