EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A Southern Indiana basketball legend is making an appearance in the Tri-State Friday.
Dave Schellhase is signing copies of his new book, “The Schellhase Story” at North High School ahead of the North vs. Central game.
Schellhase was selected to be the Chicago Bulls first ever draft choice.
He would later go on to coach high school and college basketball for Indiana State University and Moorhead State.
“You know I have all kinds of articles of different things and two to put that all together,” said Schellhase. “It was very healing and very nice to do it. I’m not trying to particularly make money on it or anything it’s just to tell my story and maybe help some people along their way.”
Schellhase signed books until 7 p.m. Friday night.
