Shehzada Dhami, who played the character of Armaan, was replaced overnight. Shehzada’s disdain for her professional conduct was reportedly evident from the beginning, with constant tantrums and mistreatment of the crew. Pratiksha Honmukhe, who was seen in the role of Roohi, was a newcomer. The production company prepared it, but it did not meet the character’s requirements as expected.

Karan Singh Grover, the male lead of Qubool Hai, was fired due to unprofessional behaviour. A source associated with the show had informed BT that Karan had a history of unprofessionalism. He displayed similar behavior during Dill Mill Gayye, a show he departed from in his heyday. During the filming of Qubool Hai, Karan frequently arrived late or sometimes didn’t show up at all. Even when he was present, he would only film for a few hours before leaving. His constant lack of professionalism in recent months is the main reason for his replacement.

Gulki Joshi, who joined the cast of ‘Piya Rangrezz’ after a time jump, was suddenly removed from the show. The producer cited a lack of chemistry between her and the male lead, which they believed negatively affected the show’s ratings. The abrupt decision also came as a shock to Gulki.

The television actress, who had won Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, was removed as the host of the seventh season due to her inability to enthrall the audience alongside Ranvir Shorey. Her departure came after her hosting performance garnered negative feedback and low TRPs. A team member revealed that Drashti came on board because of her previous win, with the aim of injecting some glamor into the show. However, after the premiere episode, the channel received negative reactions about her. Unfortunately, her chemistry with Ranvir Shorey did not resonate with viewers. Consequently, the creators chose to approach the channel in search of a replacement.

“Sath Nibhana Saathiya” lead actress Gia Manek was fired from the show after she decided to participate in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Her sudden dismissal was due to conflicts between the channel and the actress. Although her contract allowed her to participate, the network objected, resulting in her firing.

The actor, who played Ayaan in Qubool Hai, received a legal notice from the channel and the show’s production company. The reason is that, despite having an exclusive contract with the channel, he accepted another offer. A source had said back then: “Leaving one program for another without informing anyone is not necessary. The least expected of an actor was to treat his debut program in such an unprofessional manner. He had stopped reporting on the set and had also misbehaved with the producers and directors of the channel. “The channel had decided to take strict action against breach of contract.”

Ritvik Arora, who played Kunal Rajvansh in ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ was replaced. Producer Rajan Shahi reportedly said that one of his lead actors was demanding exorbitant fee hike and behaving unprofessionally during the pandemic. At the time, Rajan told BT: “We have been very accommodating to actors who have genuine concerns about COVID. If an actor wants to opt out of a show, we totally understand. But the behavior of non-professionals, who demand a ransom for a production house, it should be called. In Ritvik’s case, there was a problem even last year when he did not show up for filming for a day and was not available on phone, and we suffered losses.
