Actress Gwyneth Paltrow She recalled being a little worried when she attended a screening of her 1996 film. emma in the White House and then-president Bill Clinton snoring through the Jane Austen adaptation.
In an interview in The hot ones with Sean EvansPaltrow, also the founder of Goop, took a break from eating hot wings to confirm whether it’s true that Clinton slept through the movie.
“Is it true that Bill Clinton passed out asleep during a White House screening of emma?” Evans asked, prompting a laugh from Paltrow.
“True. He was snoring right in front of me. I was like, wow, I guess this is going to be a real successful movie,” the actress joked.

emma She won an Academy Award for her music and a nomination for her costume design. She grossed approximately $22.2 million domestically on a production budget of $6 million. Paltrow would continue working with the Miramax studio on other films such as Shakespeare in love, The talented Mr. Ripleyand Bounce.
