‘General Hospital’ star Robyn Bernard dies at 64 in California

Robyn Bernard, best known for her role on the hit soap opera “General Hospital,” has died. She was 64 years old.

Bernard’s body was found in an “open field behind a business” in San Jacinto, California, on Tuesday morning, according to to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

The actress who played Terry Brock on the long-running soap opera was pronounced dead at 4:08 a.m.

The coroner’s office identified Bernard using his fingerprints following a call to police for a death investigation. according to TMZ.

An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday, but toxicology results could take weeks, the outlet reported.

Foul play is not suspected in his death.

Bernard was born on May 26, 1959 in Gladewater, Texas, before beginning an acting career, appearing in several small roles on television, including “Diva,” “Simon & Simon” and “Betty Blue.”

In 1984, she was cast in “General Hospital” as Terry Brock, also known as Terry O’Connor, where she held the role for 145 episodes until leaving the show in 1990.

Other projects Bernard worked on included appearances on “Whiz Kids,” “The Facts of Life,” “Tour of Duty,” and “Kings for a Day.”

Bernard played a psychologist in “Voices from High School” in 2002, which would become her last credited role, and has remained out of the Hollywood spotlight ever since.

He is survived by his father Jerry Wayne Bernard and his two sisters Crystal and Scarlett.
