Gisele Bündchen denies cheating on Tom Brady: ‘That’s a lie’

Gisele Bündchen, for the first time, addressed speculation that she cheated on Tom Brady before the power couple’s divorce, definitively stating that she didn’t and stating that people who wondered if she had gotten out of it were doing so because she is a woman.

“That’s a lie,” Bündchen said in an interview with the New York Times about whether she cheated on her ex-husband.

Bündchen reportedly began dating her jiu-jitsu coach Joaquim Valente in June 2023; She and Brady announced their divorce in October 2022.

“I really don’t want to make a tabloid of my life,” Bündchen said. “I don’t want to open myself up to all that.”

The Brazilian supermodel, 43, took aim at those who fueled rumors about her separation from Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

“This is something that happens to many women who are blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as unfaithful,” Bündchen said in the interview. “They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course, for me, it turns out that it’s a little bit amped up.”

He added, speaking generally about couples, that “no one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship.”

Bündchen and Valente were seen having dinner together in November 2022weeks after she and Brady revealed their divorce.

Brady reportedly believes that Bündchen and Valente became involved before the divorce.

“If you want people to think that you have only been dating Joaquim since June, so be it, but they have been together longer and they are not taking it easy. “Tom has accepted it,” a source told the Daily Mail last month.

Bündchen confirmed to the Times that she is dating someone but did not mention Valente by name.

“This is the first time I’ve seen someone who was a friend of mine,” he said. “It’s very different. It’s very honest and very transparent.”
