Glen Powell crashes Sydney Sweeney’s ‘SNL’ concert to dispel dating rumors

Hollywood heartthrob Glen Powell made a surprise appearance in “Saturday night live” last night to put an end to dating rumors between him and his “Anyone But You” co-star Sydney Sweeney.

Sweeney, 26, who was hosting the show, announced that Powell, 35, was in the audience. during his opening monologue where he addressed “some things I’ve seen about myself online.”

“I once said I used to work at Universal Studios and then someone online accused me of lying about it, which is crazy,” the “White Lotus” alum said. “If I didn’t work there, how would I know all the Universal characters, like ‘Shock,’ ‘The Monions,’ and ‘Harry Porter’?”

Next, Sweeney talked about “a woman on TikTok (who) went viral because she claimed to be my nutritionist,” adding that she stays fit by running, avoids sugar, and “does Ozempic.”

Finally, the “Madame Web” actress addressed what she called “the craziest rumor” about her that claims “that while filming ‘Anyone But You’ I was having an affair with my co-star Glen Powell.”

“That’s obviously not true,” Sweeney explained. “My fiancé and I produced the movie together and he was there throughout filming, and I just want everyone to know that he is the man of my dreams and that we are still together and stronger than ever.”

“He even came here tonight to support me. Can we move on to him?” the “Euphoria” star continues as the camera cuts to Powell, prompting an explosion of laughter and applause from the crowd.

Yeah, no, that’s not my fiancé. He’s in my dressing room! he said, referring to his real fiancé Jonathan Davino before concluding his monologue.

The duo later continued to poke fun at the alleged relationship when they both appeared in a skit where the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor tries to steal Sweeney’s boyfriend.

In the parody, Sweeney and Andrew Dismukes you can see him sitting at dinner next to two noisy tables.

After managing to calm both tables, Dismukes, 28, turns to Sweeney and asks, “Were you telling me something happened at work today?”

“I cheated on you with my boss and I think we should break up,” Sweeney’s character responds.

It is at this moment that Powell makes her entrance asking, “Hey babycakes, do you want to come out here?” before they both leave.

Rumors that Sweeney and Powell had been dating began circulating shortly after. ending his relationship with Gigi Paris when the two were seen getting very cozy on the set of their hit romantic comedy.

Sweeney has been engaged to Davino, 40, since 2022. In May, she used her engagement ring for the first time in almost a year.

“Glen and I don’t really care,” Sweeney told Variety of the rumors. “We have a lot of fun together and respect each other a lot; “He is a great worker and I am a great worker.”

Powell also addressed the claims in an interview with Men’s health.

“When all that happened, you know, publicly, it felt disorienting and unfair. But what I’m realizing is that now that’s just part of this job,” he said in November 2023.
