Challengers began lining up to face Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER in WrestleMania 40 He arrived on April 6 or 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, recently and a match was quickly scheduled to determine which of them would advance to the big event to try to dethrone him.

In fact, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, JD McDonagh, Bronson Reed and Chad Gable were chosen for the match, which took place in the main event of Monday night raw this week in Houston.

Gable came into the ring, not wanting to attack a downed man, and stood Zayn up so they could both look at the ring. Wrestlemania sign, stand up and have a fair fight.
They also had a solid back-and-forth, one that featured multiple incredible near falls. In the end, Gable lowered the straps, yelled “THIS IS MY TIME” through a bloody lip, and got the Ankle Lock.
But Zayn turned it around, rolled him up and scored the pinfall.
Gable just misses it.
But Sami is in.
