Ashish Gandhi’s new film Haddhu Ledhuraa hits the big screens today. Read the review to find out how it goes.
History:
Arjun (Ashish Gandhi) and Krishna (Ashok) have been best friends since childhood. Arjun is always ready to do whatever he can to help Krishna. One day, Krishna finds himself in trouble and requires Arjun’s intervention to save him. What is the problem? Does Arjun manage to rescue Krishna? The film develops the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
Ashish Gandhi shines in the role of Arjun, convincingly playing a caring friend. His acting and appearance are commendable, suggesting potential for future massive roles.
Ashok gives a good performance in his role. Despite having minimal screen time, Rajiv Kanakala and Thanikella Bharani entertain in the scenes in which they appear.
Bad points:
The story is quite familiar and predictable. Despite a promising start, the film quickly loses its momentum. While the central idea is acceptable, the director could have focused more on engaging storytelling.
Heroines Varsha Vishwanath and Hrithika Srinivas contribute little to the plot, and their presence is limited to a few scenes.
Many scenes suffer from poor lip syncing, attributed to the director’s negligence in overseeing the final result. Furthermore, Ashok’s performance lacks depth in scenes that require emotional expression, with his neutral gazes and deadpan dialogues being drawbacks.
Rajiv Kanakala’s character could have been introduced earlier to add more dramatic tension. The director fails to fully utilize the talent of veteran actor Thanikella Bharani.
Technical aspects:
Director Rajashekkar Raavi fails to execute the story effectively and also writes poor dialogues. The songs composed by Kamal Kumar D (late) are acceptable, but the background score by Abinizer Paul fails to enhance crucial scenes. Editor Gowtham Raj Nerusu could have trimmed unnecessary parts from both halves. The cinematography is fine. The production values are poor.
Verdict:
Overall, Haddhu Ledhuraa is a mediocre action drama with a routine story and mediocre script. Apart from Ashish Gandhi’s performance to some extent, the film does not have much to attract its viewers. Check out alternative entertainment options this weekend.
