Halsey She’s being kind to herself during a difficult chapter on her health journey.
The “You Should Be Sad” singer got candid about her battle with endometriosis when she shared a photo of her bare stomach covered in several bandages. The image of her also showed what appeared to be the waistband of a pair of absorbent underpants, commonly given to patients after surgery, protruding from her pink and white striped pajamas.
“Back in diapers,” Halsey captioned the selfie on her Feb. 28 Instagram Story, “but at least they have little ties.”
The 29-year-old did not share any further details of her procedure, although she thanked the Los Angeles-based OB-GYN. Dr. Thais Aliabadi for their “incomparable care and brilliance.”
Halsey added in a separate post, “endometriosis gang.”
Endometriosis is a chronic disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the organ, causing severe pain and fertility problems, according to the World Health Organization.
