Prince Harry tried sit-skiing while visiting the training camp for next year’s Invictus Games in Whistler, Canada.

The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan met competitors at the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort on Wednesday.

The pair will meet more athletes at the 2025 games venues in Whistler and Vancouver.

The Duke founded the games in 2014 for wounded and ill veterans and military personnel to aid their recovery.

Around 550 competitors from up to 25 countries will take part in events including sitting volleyball, swimming and wheelchair basketball at the 2025 games.

Winter sports such as downhill skiing, snowboarding and wheelchair curling will also take part in the competition for the first time.

The Duke was inspired to organize the games after watching the 2013 Warrior Games in the US, where injured and retired service personnel competed.

The first edition of the games was held in London in 2014, and subsequent competitions were held in the United States, Canada and Australia.

The five-part documentary series, Heart of Invictus, tells the story of the prince’s sports competition for wounded and disabled military men and women.

Prince Harry said he wanted Invictus to be like a safety net to catch people, because he lacked the support or understanding of his own “invisible wounds.”

This week, Prince Harry and Meghan launched a rebranded website sussex.com in an online overhaul.

It is under the title “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex”, with their Archewell branding, which covers their charity and media business, folded inside.

Buckingham Palace announced that the 75-year-old king had been diagnosed with a form of cancer and would be stepping back from public duties to receive treatment.

Charles and Prince Harry met for about 45 minutes before the king left to catch his flight to Sandringham.

The Duchess of Sussex remained in the United States during the visit, where the couple lives with their two young children.

Prince Harry did not meet his brother, the Prince of Wales, during his visit to London, the BBC understands.
