Actress Kareena Kapoor has said that she will be starring in a “very important South film”, and this has made fans wonder if she will be a part of Toxic, starring Yash. What Kareena said about her South film debut
The caption read, “I think Kareena’s film with Yash is confirmed! She said this yesterday in a zoom meeting with her fans.” In the clip, Kareena said, “Now, like I said, I could be doing a very important South film. Now it’s like I’m all over India, so I don’t know where I’ll be filming, but I’m excited to let all my fans know that it will be the first time I’m doing this.”
Fans believe she will be part of Yash’s Toxic
One fan wrote: “She is doing great films like Toxic and Singham and at the same time content driven films like Jaane Jaan, Crew, The Buckingham Murders. Her longevity is crazy.” One person wrote: “She will be making her first pan-India film alongside Yash at 42! I think she is quite remarkable considering how sexist the film industries can be.”
What Kareena’s team said before
In January of this year, a India Today report said Kareena would star in Yash’s Toxic. He also said that the makers of the film are “very interested in Kareena and have started talks to sign her up in the film”.
In another report, shared the statement from the actor’s team asking people to keep the speculation going. The statement read, “There has been a lot of speculation about Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming film. While we understand the excitement and anticipation. We request the media to refrain from talking to Kareena Kapoor about her upcoming project and her star cast. Something very exciting is coming up very soon and we request everyone to wait for the official announcement. Team Kareena Kapoor Khan.”
About Yash Toxic
In December last year, Yash announced his upcoming film Toxic with director Geetu Mohandas. The film will release in April 2025. Toxic will be the first collaboration of Yash and Geetu Mohandas.
Kareena’s next film
Fans will see Kareena in Crew alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, Crew also stars Diljit Dosanjh with a special appearance by Kapil Sharma. The film will hit theaters on March 29.
