How Jason Sudeikis reacted after the SAG award went to Jeremy Allen White

Like Ted Lasso, Jason Sudeikis You may not always be a winner.

At the 2024 SAG Awards on February 24, the actor lost the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series to He Bear‘s Jeremy Allen Blanco, but like his TV alter ego, Jason was incredibly gracious about it. (See the full list of winners here.)

As Jeremy made his way to the stage, Jason gave him a big round of applause and could be seen telling the camera: “Yeah, yeah, you can have it.”

After yelling at his fellow nominee and co-star. Ebony Moss-Bachrachas well as the cast and crew of the FX show, Jeremy reflected on what being an actor means to him.

“I feel very honored to be in this community,” he said from the stage. “I have wanted to be a part of this community my entire life. I had no backup plan. I started very young and I am incredibly moved to stand in front of all of you today and receive this from my peers, whom I greatly admire.”

After thanking his daughters Ezer5, and Dolores3—with whom he shares his ex Addison Timlin—the 33-year-old joked, “Wow, they give you a lot of time on this one, but it’s all I have.”
