With the Daytona 500 set to explode onto screens this weekend, NASCAR, and its broadcast partner FOX Sports, are still excited for a wildly unique weekend earlier this month.

As the Southern California weather forecast continued to look grimmer with each hour left before the NASCAR race Clash at the Colosseum, the motorsports giant made the unprecedented decision to move up the pre-season race by a full day. That created a scenario almost unheard of in live sports production.
