Fighter was released in theaters, but the pre-order collections for day 1 concluded on a disappointing note!
Fighter, starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan in the lead, has concluded its pre-sales for day 1. The Siddharth Anand directorial hit the screens today i.e. January 25, 2024, and has received favorable response till now. . Scroll below for total box office advance booking receipts.
As previously reported, the action drama has made little splash. Despite celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, the pre-release hype didn’t live up to expectations. It was largely due to the weak promotional strategy that failed to create awareness among movie buffs. However, there is little to no competition at the box office, which is definitely a benefit!
Fighter Day 1 Box Office Pre-Order
Given the trend of the film, it was highly unlikely that the action film would have crossed the 10 crore mark. However, it has definitely seen a considerable increase from yesterday’s pre-sales. According to the latest box office update, Fighter added 8.60 crores gross (excluding blocked tickets) by advance booking on day 1.
Compared to yesterday 5.25 crores gross, this is a growth of 64%. Above 2.80 lakhs Tickets have been sold throughout the country. Early bird sales may not be up to par, but word of mouth will surely help one-time bookings. And that could become a turning point for Fighter’s opening day.
Republic Day benefit
Tomorrow is a national holiday, due to Republic Day. So bookings for the afternoon and evening shows will surely improve. Fighter will enjoy an extended 5-day weekend at the box office, and if initial reviews prove to be very favorable, there is enormous room for growth. Will Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone end up breaking all their previous box office records? Only time will tell.
Siddharth Anand feels the Pathaan pressure!
A lot of expectations have been placed on Siddharth Anand, who is fresh off the success of Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Pathaan. However, the director urged fans not to compare Fighter with Pathaan or War.
