Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s Republic Day Release Fighter posted “massive growth” after underperforming on its opening day. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film benefited from two factors: word-of-mouth appreciation and the Republic Day holiday. Massive pockets also helped push up the figure on Friday. Taran Adrash predicts that the film has a good chance of scoring big numbers if Saturday and Sunday “keep the pace”. Fighter minted Rs 41.20 crore on its second day of release and the total stands at Rs 65.80 crore. Taran Adarsh wrote: “Wrestler sets fire to BO, it is EXTRAORDINARY on day 2, he benefits greatly due to two factors: (i) Excellent audience response and (ii) Republic Day holiday.. “Massive pockets, which underperformed on Day 1 – witnessed massive growth on Day 2, thus contributing to the impressive total.”
He added: “The tremendous growth of Day 2 gives the film a solid chance to move forward… If Saturday and the sun keep up the momentum, there is certainly a huge total at stake… Frankly, it’s too early to tell.” “estimate a figure. for the extended 4-day weekend, since mass and space reservations can aggravate the situation on Saturdays and Sundays… So let’s wait and see.” Check out his post here:
In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave Fighter 2.5 stars and wrote: “Scripted by Ramon Chibb with Siddharth Anand, Fighter works best when it decides to slow down a bit in the second half. His point Emotional climax occurs when Samsher meets Minal’s father (Ashutosh Rana) and mother (Geeta Agrawal) by accident and proceeds to impress upon them the enormity of his daughter’s achievements. Among the pilots of the Air Dragons team formed after the terrorist attack of in early 2019 against a CRPF convoy in Pulwama is Basheer Khan (Akshay Oberoi). He is able to deliver what are by far the most patriotic lines in the film: a repetition of a poignant and patriotic couplet that Shamsher recites at the beginning of the movie.
Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Hrithik and Deepika, Anil Kapoor. They are part of an elite team called to respond to a threat coming from the other side of the border. The cast includes Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
