Drake Bell received an apology from former Nickelodeon star Devon Werkheiser after he and his castmates Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide apparently mocked the accusations raised in the documentary series Silence on the set: The dark side of children’s television.

Werkheiser and his Ned declassified Co-stars Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis received backlash after going on TikTok Live and joking about the four-part Investigation Discovery series.

“Daniel, we told you never to talk about that. Go back to your hole, Daniel, and give me your holes! Werkheiser is heard saying.

The actor tried to fix the situation by saying, “I’m sorry, we shouldn’t joke about this. We really shouldn’t. Our set wasn’t like that.”

Werkheiser was referring to accusations that former Nickelodeon stars lived under Dan Schneider’s reign for shows like Everything that, Amanda’s showand Drake and Josh.

“No, it’s fucking horrible. “Drake Bell’s shit, it’s crazy to listen to,” Werkheiser added. “That’s fucked up. And that never came to light, which is really crazy. Really wild.”

Fans who recorded the livestream shared it on social media, and Bell responded to a tweet that read: “Ned’s Declassless… this is wild… laugh guys… laugh… ‘Give me your asses?!!’ Actually?!”

Werkheiser would later release an apology to Bell and other Nickelodeon stars for mocking their lived experiences.

“I feel so sorry for Drake. Gutted, I hurt you,” reads the post. shared on Xthe social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

He continued: “I was being an idiot today. There’s no way to avoid it. I feel horrible that my idiot was talking about this without seeing it. I saw Silence on set tonight and I am horrified by the severity of what Drake and others shared. Really heartbroken by what my fellow actors went through. I can’t believe they weren’t protected. “I’m sorry I aggravated the pain.”
