Inside Anmer Hall where Kate Middleton recovers

Anmer Hall, a 19th-century country house in the picturesque village of Anmer, England, has long maintained its place as a treasured retreat within the British Royal Family.

However, recent events have put this property in the global spotlight, with concerns surrounding the health and whereabouts of Kate Middleton. She shares this residence with Prince William after the couple received it as a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Reports suggest he has been recovering there after mysterious abdominal surgery, and is not expected to return to public engagements until after Easter.

Theories about Middleton’s health also reached a fever pitch over the weekend, when a doctored family photo was released, prompting a quick apology from Middleton herself.

A source close to the situation expressed deep concern and suggested that Middleton’s health problems could be more serious than initially perceived.

“Something is terribly wrong,” the source told The Post. “The idea that Kate couldn’t sit down during a photo shoot tells me that this is a much more serious situation than anyone realizes.”

Despite the turmoil, Middleton was seen briefly leaving Windsor Castle alongside Prince William on Monday. But her head was turned and the cameras couldn’t capture her face. The couple embarked on a trip to Westminster Abbey, marking Middleton’s first appearance in more than two months since her surgery.

Anmer Hall, with its 10 bedrooms, swimming pool and private tennis court, has long been a sanctuary for the royals and their three children, especially during the pandemic.

Plus, it’s a calming-looking getaway. As seen in images of the property, green houseplants adorn the cozy space, while cream-colored walls serve as a relaxing neutral tone.

After receiving the house as a gift from the Queen, extensive renovations took place. The work included a new roof, kitchen, conservatory and interior redecoration. In particular, the addition of trees surrounding the property further enhances its privacy.

From 2015 to 2017, Anmer Hall served as the couple’s primary residence, giving them a respite from royal duties.

However, as they moved into full-time royal duties, their base returned to Kensington Palace.

Anmer Hall is also a stone’s throw from Sandringham House, the historic venue where the Royal Family gathers for Christmas festivities.
