According to US Weekly, the Princess of Wales’ top officials weren’t even aware of her “planned abdominal surgery” until it was announced. What’s more, they haven’t been able to see her or talk to her or even see her for a long time. Her disappearance has sparked speculation about her relationship with Prince William.

“Some members of Kate’s senior staff have not been able to see or speak to her, and they didn’t even know about the surgery until it was announced, so it took them by surprise,” Us Weekly reported, referring to sources.

According to an article in the New York Post, the royals have been keeping a huge secret about Kate Middleton’s disappearance lately. The report says Middleton is visited by only a few people, including cancer-stricken King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla.

Several media reports suggest a conflicting theory about Middleton’s appearance and say that William is helping Kate maintain her isolation from the public to ensure her recovery after surgery. “Kate said she feels she has the right to heal and recover without all this frantic speculation. Neither Kate nor William believe her medical records should be for public consumption,” the New York Post reported, referring to a source.

The report also adds that she is doing her best to not pay attention to rumors and gossip. While the Prince of Wales does everything he can to “protect her, but it’s distressing.”
