YRF is working to create a blockbuster spy universe that brings together the best of Bollywood. Shah Rukh Khan is the latest addition to Pathaan, and fans are very excited about Tiger vs Pathaan. After the huge success of Pathaan, Yash Raj Films is currently working on War 2 and Pathaan 2. Siddharth Anand’s exit in 2023 witnessed the collaboration between SRK and Salman for the first time. Now it will be interesting to see how her connection with Hrithik Roshan builds. But it looks like fans will have to wait to see the trio because studios have different plans for Salman Khan.
YRF is aware of Tiger’s star power!
A source close to Bollywood Hungama reveals, “Of the 5 films made on Spy Universe till date, four have featured Tiger. The YRF team feels that there is enough of Tiger and that he should mark a return to the universe at the most crucial moment. Having random cameos in the feature films will dilute Tiger’s power as a standalone character. “He has discussed the broader plans for Tiger with Salman Khan and even he is on the same page.”
The report further claims that Salman Khan is tired of doing cameos and wants to do a meaty role now. And his decision not to star in War 2 and Pathaan 2 is in line with that of Aditya Chopra, who does not want to use the crossover as a gimmick to sell films. Now it will be interesting to watch how Salman returns to the spy universe and it will indeed be special.

Meanwhile, Salman was last seen in Tiger 3. The film, directed by Maneesh Sharma, also featured Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. It was a failure at the box office with a total collection of Rs 286 million.
Tiger 3 was released on November 12, 2024.
