The ghost of social media’s past has returned to haunt Ayo Edebiri.

The comedian and “Saturday Night Live” host apologized in the middle of the show for certain comments she had made about Jennifer Lopez, who was also on the show as a musical guest.

Edebiri’s comments came during a game show sketch with Kenan Thompson, who forced Edebiri, 28, and the other contestants to take into account previous comments made on social media.

“Well. We get it. It’s wrong to leave bad comments, or post comments just for influence, or talk bad on a podcast, and you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid,” the “Big Mouth” star said during the sketch.

“But I think I speak for everyone when I say that from now on we are going to be much more thoughtful about what we post online,” Edebiri added.

The Post has contacted Edebiri for comment.

The apology comes after the “Bottoms” actress called Lopez, 54, a “con” during a appearance on the “Scam Goddess” podcast”in 2020.

“Today I was thinking about one of my favorite scams of all time because J.Lo is performing at the Super Bowl halftime show,” he told host Laci Mosley.

“Her whole career is one long scam,” Edebiri added, to which Mosley, 32, agreed, adding that “Jenny from the Block” couldn’t be sung.

“Well, that’s the thing,” Edebiri stated. “She thinks she’s on various paths, but it’s not her.”

During her time on the podcast, Edebiri, who recently won a Primetime Emmy Award for her breakout role on Hulu’s “The Bear,” admitted that she was fascinated when allegations that Lopez used ghost singers in her music first surfaced.

“A lot of the song writers will say, ‘J.Lo didn’t have time to go to the studio,’ as if J.Lo is busy,” he said. “It’s like, ‘Do what?’ Not singing, obviously.”

An R&B star named Ashanti previously claimed that Lopez tried to pass off her reference voice as her own voice on the songs “I’m Real” and “Ain’t it Funny.”

Nith López nor Edebiri have publicly addressed the comments made in the podcast.

In a promo for the show. released on friday, the singer and comedy star seemed to have reconciled after Lopez turned to Edebiri and said, “I’m very excited. I love your program”.

“I love everything,” Edebiri responds.

The promo caused several fans online to criticize the “Clone High” star.

“Ayo has a natural gift for comedy,” one laughed.

“’I love everything,’” Ayo is a scammer,” laughed another.

A third shouted: “AYO WE LISTEN TO THE PODCAST! “You’re not fooling anyone.”
