This is because Strickland is only 33 years old and still in his wrestling prime. He is also widely considered the best boxing fighter in the UFC, and many fight analysts suggest that he could compete for a world boxing championship if he had chosen to pursue the sport. He also weighs around the same weight as Paul, while most of the social media star’s previous MMA opponents fought above his usual weight class.
Paul, 27, criticized Strickland on social media after the UFC fighter was filmed punching a social media influencer who asked for a sparring match. The two notorious charlatans traded barbs and Paul offered Strickland a minimum of $1 million for a fight. Although Strickland is still under contract with the UFC, he could accept the fight if the promotion approves. He has shown interest in finding a way to make the fight against Paul a reality.

Bourland, 35, has fought only once in six years. He told the media that he basically quit the sport because he didn’t make enough money to live on and instead opted to take a job on oil rigs in North Carolina.
Still, Bourland appeared to be a capable professional during the peak of his career. He won two titles in the World Boxing Organization and also comes from a decorated amateur background. Bourland was a Golden Gloves champion, the most prestigious amateur boxing event in the country, and was also a national youth Olympian.

Serrano’s last appearance in his native Puerto Rico was in March 2021, when he scored a ninth-round knockout over Daniel Bermudez to defend the WBC and WBO featherweight titles. A lot has changed since then, including Serrano (46-2-1) adding the other two major belts to become a unified champion.
She was also among the first fighters to join Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions and immediately saw her profile skyrocket. Paul worked with renowned matchmaker Eddie Hearn, widely considered the top promoter in boxing today, to promote Serrano’s April 2022 lightweight unification fight against Katie Taylor, who is affiliated with Hearn.
It was the highest-grossing women’s boxing match of all time and the first time a women’s match served as the main event at Madison Square Garden. Serrano lost a hotly contested split decision, but her star power soared despite the outcome. Serrano told the media this week that she is motivated in part by Saturday’s fight to show respect for what MVP has done for her career and gratitude from her to Paul for putting her in the main event.
“I feel really blessed to have opened up to him so many times and now the roles have been reversed,” Serrano said. “He’s opening up to me and Jake is such a gentleman. He said this is my house and I would never take that main event.”
