(WJW) – Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce says that while he and his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, have been big in the football world for a long time, “the world of Taylor (Swift) and the world of pop culture, that’s a whole different level.”

The Cleveland Heights native opened up about his newfound fame beyond sports during a recent episode of “The Great Podcast with Shaq”.

Jason said he didn’t know what fame really was until Travis’ relationship with pop star Taylor Swift gained national attention.

“It’s crazy the opportunities this opens up,” he said. “It’s crazy to feel how much joy you bring to people or how much you affect their daily lives.”

But he said it also has its drawbacks, revealing that Travis even had to move out of his house for safety reasons.

“People just stayed home,” Jason he said on the podcast. “And the first day he moved into his new house, a gated community, someone knocks on his window.”

Swift is no stranger to the downsides of fame. Recently, a man was accused of harassing the singer outside her New York City apartment. In December, his team sent a violation letter to a University of Central Florida student, demanding that he stop tracking his private jet.

Jason went on to say that he and Travis are still learning.

“It’s a new demographic that didn’t exist before,” he said.

“The key is to stay straight,” said Shaquille O’Neal Travis during the podcast. “I have been watching you and your brother for a long time, I can say that you are good and healthy people.”

When asked during the podcast about the retirement rumors, Jason said he’s “still figuring it out” but hopes to make a decision in the coming weeks.

“If I still want to play, I’m going to play,” he said. “Frankly, we finished the season horrible. “I’m just going to take some time, rest, recover and figure it out.”
