Justin Timberlake is making his long-awaited return to the music scene with his new album this year. The Selfish music video, which heralds the arrival of his first major solo piece of music since 2018, was released on January 25. The video for this single serves as a special pre-release music festival for his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was in March.

The Can’t Stop the Feeling singer’s new single is a mid-tempo romantic ballad. In the video, the 42-year-old artist is once again a spectacular performer, as he can be seen flaunting his smooth dance moves in the final crescendo. Written by Timberlake himself with Louis Bell, Cirkut, Theron Thomas and Amy Allen, Selfish has been co-produced by Justin, Bell and Cirkut. The video for the album’s lead single (EITIW) Everything I Thought It Was was directed by Bradley J. Clader, with choreography by Marty Kudelka and Dana Wilson.

The Selfish video, while marking Justin’s glamorous return, captures him in a down-to-earth tone. Wearing a white T-shirt, the SexyBack singer reluctantly heads to rehearsal. Soon diving into romantic expression with lyrics like “I want every little bit of you / I guess I’m selfish,” the musician also recalls his previous releases with clever references sprinkled throughout.
