Justin Timberlake stopped by tonight’s show to promote his next album, Everything I thought I was, and took the opportunity to announce that he will go on tour later this year. After many suggestions from host Jimmy Fallon, Timberlake confirmed, “I’m going on tour.”
Although all the details of the tour have not yet been revealed, Fallon announced that it will be a global tour called Forget Tomorrow World Tour and that it will begin on April 29 in Vancouver, Canada. Fallon listed some of the tour dates, including Seattle, Fort Worth, TX, and Miami, and confirmed that it will include a stop (stops?) at Madison Square Garden. Tickets go on sale February 2.
After announcing the tour, Fallon asked Timberlake to describe the moment Travis Kelce approached him.
In other places tonight’s show, Timberlake joined Fallon and the Roots to perform a medley of hits, including “Señorita,” “SexyBack,” and “Selfish,” with classy instruments. In the clip, Timberlake performed the triangle and sang the lyrics along with Fallon.
Earlier this week, Timberlake debuted a new single, “Selfish,” ahead of his upcoming 18-song album, Everything I thought I was. The album, the first since 2018. forest man – will arrive on March 15 via RCA. It is available for make an order now in a variety of formats, including a Timberlake Store exclusive version complete with postcards, a photo strip, a 20-page booklet, and pressing on clear double vinyl. While Timberlake did not reveal the album’s track listing, he said there are 18 songs on the LP, selected from more than 100 songs he worked on while recording the album.
During his appearance in tonight’s show, Timberlake told Fallon that “making this album is different than any other.” He added: “It’s different to making albums before because I would just go in for a period of time and say this is what we did and this is what it is.”
She noted that she had to go “back and forth” to the studio because she had two children. “Two weeks writing, coming back for a month, and just what we call writers camps where I would work with different songwriters, I would work with different producers, people I’ve worked with before, people I’ve never worked with before,” he explained.
