Kanye West Responds to a Fan Who Ignited a “Swiftie Emergency” The ardent Taylor Swift fan asked his followers to stream Beyonce’s new single, “Texas Hold Em,” to deny West a No. 1 debut on the charts. Billboard.

The fan urged people to “buy and stream” Texas Hold Em “to block it from the top spot.”

On February 13, West held half of all spots within the top 10 on Spotify’s ranking of the most streamed songs in the U.S. West saw his song “Carnival” remain at No. 1.

The Billboard charts may not show a good start. The album was originally supposed to debut on Friday, but eventually hit streaming services on Saturday. The set’s incomplete first tracking week will likely depress its initial numbers.

West claimed in his rebuttal to Swifties that it was “far more helpful to Taylor Swift’s career than detrimental.” He added: “I’m not your enemy, ummm, although I’m not your friend either, hahaha.”

West pointed the finger at himself when he referenced Swift in the song “Carnival,” which is from the Vultures 1 album he just released as a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.
