Princess of Wales Kate Middleton was seen out in public with her husband, Prince William, at a local farm stand not far from the couple’s home in Windsor, England, over the weekend, according to multiple reports.

While any sighting of the royal family tends to attract the press and onlookers, the princess has reportedly been seen in public only three times since December, the last being in mid-January after she was hospitalized so royal officials Kensington Palace told it was a scheduled abdominal surgery, ABC News reported.

After the 42-year-old woman’s medical procedure on Jan. 16, which authorities would only say was not cancer-related, rumors about her health began circulating on social media.

Her long absence from public responsibilities, along with a doctored Mother’s Day photograph of Middleton and her three children released by Kensington Palace, intensified speculation about her health and her marriage to Prince William.

Mother’s Day in the UK is celebrated at the beginning of March.

The Associated Press, along with many other outlets that initially published the photo, retracted the image.

SunA UK outlet was the first to report that the princess was seen in Windsor looking “happy, relaxed and healthy”, but on Monday TMZ released video footage of royalty on their Saturday walk near the farm stand.

“No one around seems to be bothering them… and Kate does indeed look very cheerful here, smiling widely and even carrying on a conversation with her husband,” the tabloid wrote.

Regarding the doctored photo, Middleton apologized in a social media post on March 11, saying, “Like many amateur photographers, I experiment with editing from time to time. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday. Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the past two months. Wishing you all a happy Mother’s Day.”

Whatever “confusion” the photo caused, TMZ says many believe the apology was Middleton’s fault over an image edited by palace officials.
