Before her name was removed, the Princess of Wales, 42, was reported to have been examining infantry soldiers as an honorary colonel of the Irish Guards at the event leading up to Trooping the Colour.

After the inspection, members will line the processional route along the Mall of London.

Since undergoing “successful” abdominal surgery on January 17, Middleton has largely stayed out of the spotlight, opting to recover at her home at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

In his absence, several conspiracy theories have taken root.

“Kensington Palace made the princess’ recovery timelines clear in January and we would only provide meaningful updates. That guidance remains,” her office told the Post last week, adding that she was “doing well.”

The mother of three was seen on Monday for the first time since her surgery sitting in the passenger seat of a car with her mother, Carole Middleton, near Windsor Castle.

Shortly after Middleton’s surgery was announced, palace officials stated that she was “unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes the public understands her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children; and her desire that her personal medical information remain private,” her initial statement read at the time. “Therefore, Kensington Palace will only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’s progress when there is significant new information to share.”

The mysterious disappearance surrounding the princess comes as King Charles III continues to receive treatment for an unspecified form of cancer, which was discovered when he underwent a procedure for an enlarged prostate.

Amid the royal family’s ups and downs, Prince William’s spokesperson told People on Wednesday that “his focus is on his work and not on social media.”
