Kelly Rowland leaves the ‘Today’ show due to a dressing room problem

Kelly Rowland is taking her confessions elsewhere.

The “Motivation” singer and former Destiny’s Child member abruptly left the set of Today with Hoda and Jenna for an issue with her dressing room on Thursday, when she was supposed to replace Jenna Bush Hager as guest host, EW has learned. The strike occurred after Rowland appeared as a guest on the Today show at 8 a.m., and singer Rita Ora eventually stepped in to replace her as guest host.

a representative for Today declined to comment on the matter, and a representative for Rowland did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.

TO source told PEOPLE that “Kelly left because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room,” and Ora then “agreed to replace him at the last minute.”

According to Page Six, which first reported the newsRowland asked about using an upstairs green room because she wasn’t happy with the one she had, but it was being used by Jennifer Lopez, who was there to promote her new album. Rowland was in Today to promote his new movie Mea culpa, a legal thriller that he stars in and produces. The film arrives on Netflix on February 23. Meanwhile, Ora recently joined. The masked singer as a panelist in season 11.
