Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won’s “Queen Of Tears” Premiere Scores Strong Ratings

tvN’s “Queen of Tears” is off to a promising start!

On March 9, the new romantic drama starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won premiered to higher ratings than its predecessor, “Captivating the King” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot).

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of “Queen of Tears” earned a nationwide average rating of 5.9 percent. (For comparison, “Captivating the King” debuted with a 4.0 percent national average in January.)

Meanwhile, MBC’s new drama “Wonderful World” dropped to a national average rating of 6.4 percent in its fourth episode.

SBS’s “Flex x Cop,” which airs in the same time slot as “Wonderful World,” hit double digits again before the final two weeks of its broadcast. The latest episode of the drama earned a nationwide average rating of 10.1 percent.
