King Charles health: Queen Camilla gives update on her husband’s health as Harry jokes with American crowd

The Queen has said the King is “extremely well under the circumstances” following his cancer diagnosis, as she celebrated the work of charities at Salisbury Cathedral.

Camilla dropped Charles off at Sandringham for her royal engagement tonight and among the first people she met were medical staff from Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Ben Abbott, 40, an intensive care paramedic, said: “I hope Her Majesty is well ma’am, we are all very sad to hear the news.”

Camilla responded: “Well, given the circumstances, he is doing very well.

“He is very touched by all the letters and messages that the public have been sending from all over – that is very encouraging.”

Harry, 39, did not mention his father or his cancer diagnosis during his speech, in which he presented the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award to Pittsburgh Steelers defenseman Cameron Heyward.
