Laapataa Ladies director Kiran Rao recently opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Aamir Khan. speaking to Bollywood bubbleKiran said that she is “shamelessly using” Aamir’s star power to ensure that her “small film” does better at the box office. ‘I need to do everything I can to promote’
When the journalist asked if Aamir’s star power helps promote the film easily, Kiran Rao got candid and replied, “Absolutely! I use it completely. I use his star power whenever I can. (laughs) I say, you are here; Please stay there and give us three photos. Because we have a small movie and I need to do everything I can to tell people about it. Bhaiya, pehli March ko aaraha hain. Dekhiye Aamir Khan ne banaya hain. Inka hain movie, aaiye. (Bro, the movie is releasing on March 1. Aamir Khan made the movie, so watch it.) I use him (Aamir Khan) without shame.”

About Laapataa Ladies
Laapataa Ladies stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam in the lead roles. The film screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last year and its trailer was attached to theatrical prints of the Siddharth Anand-directed aerial action drama Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor.
Presented by Jio Studios, Laapataa Ladies is co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande. The film was made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The script and dialogues are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues are by Divyanidhi Sharma. The film will be released on March 1.
