In yet another case of murder of an Indian in the United States, Bharatnatyam and Kuchupudi dancer Amarnath Ghosh was shot dead in Missouri. The death of Amarnath Ghosh was reported on Friday by prominent television actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee who claimed that he was shot several times during a night walk.

While stating that Amarnath Ghosh’s friends cannot claim his body, Devoleena Bhattacharjee requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and the Indian Embassy in the United States to get details about the reasons behind his murder. .

Crimes against Indians in the US

Recently, crimes against Indians in the United States have increased and multiple deaths have been reported in recent months. Notably, the Indian student community is dealing with several hate crimes and is not getting adequate redress for their grievances.
