Lala Kent shaded her ex-fiancé Randall Emmett while explaining her decision to use a sperm donor to conceive her second child.
“The best thing about my baby daddy is that he doesn’t exist. “I’ve been pretty open about really wanting to have complete control of… I guess not my son, but having him around me all the time,” the “Vanderpump Rules” star said on Amazon Live on Tuesday.
Kent, 33, noted that she “went through a really tough time” after breaking up with Emmett, 52, in October 2021 and trying to co-parent with him to raise their almost 3-year-old daughter, Ocean.
“I will say that my heart will always be at stake. I believe in love. “I know I will find love again, but for me, my son will never be at stake again,” she continued.
“I don’t want to share my son again. “It is something I have experienced and I refuse to experience it again.”
The Bravolebrity explained that while she “never expected” to raise her children in a non-traditional way, she has the help of her mother and brother.
“I always say that I am raising my daughter Ocean and that I will raise this new baby with my mom. My mom is a big help and helps co-parent,” she said.
Kent described their current family dynamic as a “pod of orcas” where “nobody ever leaves,” but “they just keep adding things.”
“It may not seem normal to most people, but Ocean and this child will be surrounded by a lot of love, and I believe that the word ‘dad’ is an honor and a privilege, and that word is not just something that should be given ”he shared.
“There are so many men in Ocean’s life that will be in this baby’s life that have really taken on the role of father.”
Emmett’s representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The “Give Them Lala” podcast host announced Sunday that she is pregnant with her second child.
“I’m expanding my group,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of Ocean looking at her bare baby bump on Instagram.
Several of Kent’s past and current “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars congratulated her, as did Emmett’s ex-wife, Ambyr Childers, with whom she shares two daughters.
The reality star infamously called off her three-year engagement to the film’s producer after he allegedly cheated on her.
Since then, Kent and Emmett have been fighting over custody of Ocean. She told Page Six in January that she “didn’t see a resolution anytime soon.”
