Despite not winning the best leading actress category at the 2024 Oscars on Sunday, Lily Gladstone says she is “feeling the love big time” after the ceremony. Gladstone was in a tight race all awards season for her honor in a race that was too close with Emma Stone, who ultimately won the statuette for her incredible performance in poor thingsand many expressed disappointment at their loss.
Gladstone, nominated for her leading role as Mollie Burkhart in Martin Scorsese’s film. Assassins of the Flower Moon, She would have become the first Native American in Oscar history to win best actress. But she shed no tears for Gladstone, who feels a lot of love, “especially from Indian country,” she wrote on X/Twitter. “You better believe that when I walked out of the Dolby Theater and walked past the big Oscar statue, I took a little swipe at that golden boot,” she added.

Gladstone also felt proud during best original song nominee Scott George’s performance. Flower Moon Killers‘Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People)’ with the Osage Singers during the ceremony.

“When I saw the Osage Singers at the Oscars, my inner voice said, ‘They are the ones who will bring us all up on stage tonight, so it must be,’” Gladstone wrote in a separate tweet. “The story of the film and the moment rightfully belongs to the Osage Nation. What an honor to be close enough to feel the drum.”
Gladstone rose to front-runner status, particularly after winning Best Actress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the most predictive award for the leading actress Oscar.
