Linda Hamilton could join the Hawkins, Indiana, team for the fifth and final season of Strange thingsbut you won’t be watching it along with the rest of the show’s fans.

In an interview with Us weekly! while promoting resident alien, The actress shared that she has always been a big fan of the show, but now that she is on it, It will not be the same for her.

“I have watched each season with delight. I just love it,” she told the publication. “So it’s kind of an imposter syndrome where I don’t (feel like) I fit in there. “It’s a whole world set in the 80s.”

He continued: “When you really buy something, you don’t see yourself in it. So I think, in a way, it ruined the show for me. I never look at (a project) once I’m on something. Seeing myself there would take me completely out of reality. So, I won’t be watching (season five).”

The actress is one of the few new cast members joining the hit sci-fi series for its latest iteration. Her role is kept secret from the public, but also from her to a certain extent.

She explained that she spoke to creators Ross and Matt Duffer after being cast, and they gave her “the shape of the character but not the story.”

“They have to be very careful with their history,” he said. “So I still don’t know how this ends. And it takes a lot of discipline not to know where it’s going to go. But that’s to protect it from all the people who want to know.”

While he couldn’t share anything about the role itself, Hamilton noted that he has had a great time on the show, which began production on January 8. He said that his friends will text him to see where she is and she can’t say because he might give away parts of the plot, and he has too much respect and love for the Duffer brothers to do that.

“I get to be there for the table reads, watch it unfold and be a part of it. “I’m excited to be a part of this,” Hamilton said. “But I never, ever saw it coming. It’s different when you’re a fan of the show and you’re like, ‘Well, how do I fit in?’ But we are working on it. It’s good. Is very good.”

Strange things The fifth season will begin sometime after the events of the penultimate season finale, which – spoiler alert! – saw Hawkins split into four pieces as a result of the success of Vecna’s (Jamie Campbell Bower) curse, even though Max (Sadie Sink) was technically still alive.

However, when After the end of the fourth season, the start of the fifth installment remains to be seen. Ross Duffer said TV line in June 2022 that he is “sure” that there will be a time jump between the last two seasonsconsidering that most of the cast, who started the show as children, are currently in their late teens and early 20s.

“Ideally we would have filmed (seasons four and five) back to back, but there just wasn’t a feasible way to do it,” he told the publication at the time. “So these are all discussions we’re going to have with our writers when we start the room.”
