List of BAFTA Film Awards 2024 winners

The BAFTA Film Awards are underway at London’s Royal Festival Hall, where the best films and performances of the year will be revealed, according to the British Academy.

“Oppenheimer” leads the nominations with 13, followed by “Poor Things” with 11. Both compete for best picture, while “Oppenheimer” also received nominations for adapted screenplay, director for Christopher Nolan, supporting actress for Emily Blunt, actor for cast for Robert Downey Jr. and lead actor for Cillian Murphy. “Poor Things” is also in the running for adapted screenplay, as well as Emma Stone’s lead actress and outstanding British film.

“Killers of the Flower Moon” and “The Zone of Interest” follow with nine nominations. “Anatomy of a Fall,” “The Holdovers” and “Maestro” are also in the running with seven nominations each.

Hosted by “Doctor Who” star David Tennant, Sunday night’s ceremony will also include a performance by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, whose song “Murder on the Dancefloor” soundtracked a racy scene in “Saltburn.” .

The winner of BAFTA’s prestigious Rising Star award will also be announced, and is the only category voted for by the public. This year Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Edebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce and Sophie Wilde are competing.
