The DC heroes, who started out as the teenage sidekicks of their more famous and iconic counterparts, are getting their own live-action film from DC studios led by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
Warner Bros.’ comic book movie division Discovery has hired Ana Nogueira to write the script for the project. The hire further integrates the actress-playwright-turned-scribe into the DC family, as she is already writing. supergirl: Woman of tomorrow for the label.

Nogueira was known for her acting, which included a stint on the CW. The Vampire Diary and credits in programs such as The Michael J. Fox Show and the recent Starz series upper city.
