Machine Gun Kelly is giving fans more information about his decision to cover up much of his favorite chest and arm tattoos with a dramatic, and now viral, opaque tattoo.

In his new piano rap ballad “Don’t Let Me Go,” released Wednesday, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, says, “I wish I hadn’t heard them the way I wish they’d once understood me / I had a nervous breakdown . and I tattooed my whole body except one line / Everything is fine.”

Her lyrics reference her huge new ink, which she debuted via Instagram on Tuesday.

“For spiritual purposes only,” she captioned the post, which revealed work that covered the entire upper part of her chest, including her nipples, in black.

The colorful tattoos on the 33-year-old’s arms have also been largely blacked out by the new art.

Some of the “Bad Things” rapper’s fans couldn’t believe their eyes and wondered if the ink was just temporary black paint. However, a representative for tattoo artists Roxx and Cats confirmed to The Post that the ink is “very permanent.”

“ROXX completed the tattoo over Christmas and New York. MGK was the toughest client he has ever worked with,” the rep said Tuesday.

Some critics accused the rapper of wanting to get the ink because he wanted to “go black.”

“Okay, I can’t defend this guy anymore,” one person commented about MGK, who has long faced criticism for veering between rap and pop punk.

But commentators on the “Don’t Let Me Go” music video on Youtube He was widely applauded for his return to rap.

“I don’t care what anyone thinks of him. This guy really feels like home to me, I grew up listening to his songs and I really wish I could meet him in person,” one fan wrote.

A second added: “I can’t stand all the hate this man gets.”

“He could have put any song for his single, something more upbeat to play on the radio, but instead MGK put his heart and soul into the music first,” a third said of the deeply personal song. “Total respect, and this is definitely a wonderful song, despite how raw and sad it is. A true musician.”

MGK also alluded to his relationship with his fiancée Megan Fox. “very difficult” miscarriage on the new track, which the “Transformers” star first talked about in November.
