Kunal spoke about Madgaon Express

Talking to news agency PTI, Kunal said he had set out to test his writing skills with Madgaon Express. However, little did he know that the project would evolve into a feature film that would also give him the opportunity to take on the role of director. “I didn’t even know this was going to be made into a movie. This (writing) was like a practice session for me to see if I could do this. It was a lonely process that I went through, and no one knew I was in it.” In fact, I thought that if it ever got made, maybe I would play one of the boys, that’s the intention with which I wrote it,” the actor told PTI.

“Comedy is something easily acceptable and it is one of the most watched genres in the world. As an actor, I love comedies. Plus, it was easy to sell that he’s good at comedy, let’s at least read what he’s written in comedy. I’m glad I had the opportunity. The first agenda of something that is theatrical has to be entertainment because that is why a person leaves their house, drives to this place, spends that money to be entertained… If you are not going to entertain them, then there is no point. , he had added.
