Mahabharat actor Nitish Bhardwaj files police complaint against ex-wife, seeks help from commissioner

Actor Nitish Bhardwaj, who played the role of Lord Krishna in the TV show ‘Mahabharata’, has filed a police complaint against his ex-wife, Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS Smita Bhardwaj. In his complaint, the actor mentioned that Smita has been mentally harassing him for a long time.

Nitish Bhardwaj wrote a letter to Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra, seeking his help. The actor has said that his ex-wife not only mentally harasses him but also does not allow him to meet his twin daughters. Following Nitish Bhardwaj’s complaint, the Bhopal police commissioner ordered an investigation into the matter. The responsibility of the investigation has been handed over to Additional DCP Shalini Dixit.

Confirming the same, Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra said, “We have received a complaint from Nitish Bhardwaj. We are investigating the matter and trying to find out the facts.”

Nitish Bhardwaj played the role of Lord Krishna in the popular television show ‘Mahabharata’. He became a household name for playing the character of Lord Krishna.

Nitish Bhardwaj married Smita, a Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer, on March 14, 2009. They reportedly met through common friends. The couple share twin daughters, who are now 11 years old.

After 12 years of marriage, Nitish and Smita separated in 2019, while their divorce was finalized in 2022. Smita is said to reside in Indore with her daughters after their separation.
