Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar have issued a statement against the misuse of their daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni’s identity on social media. The warning was issued by the actor’s production house, GMB Entertainment.
The statement released by Mahesh Babu and Namrata read: “ATTENTION! The Madhapur Police in coordination with the GMB Team has issued a warning regarding a cybercrime incident related to the impersonation of Ms. Sitara Ghattamaneni on Instagram. A “unidentified user has fraudulently impersonated Ms. Ghattamaneni, sending trading and investment links to unsuspecting users (sic).”
The note continues: “Authorities urge the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activity. Efforts are being made to track down and arrest the individual responsible for these activities to prevent future incidents. The public is advised to verify the authenticity of celebrity accounts. before participating. with any online financial advice. Regards, GMB Team (sic).”

Mahesh Babu’s wife and actress Namrata Shirodkar explained the issue on her Instagram account. Along with the note, she wrote in the caption: “Attention! This is the only account of Sitara Ghattamaneni. No other identifier can be trusted except the verified one (sic).”
Mahesh Babu and Namrata’s daughter Sitara is ten years old. The couple also has a son.
