Mammootty’s latest experimental film Bramayugam, which released only on ‘Black & White’, is setting the cash registers ringing. Written and directed by Rahul Sadasivam, the film received positive reviews. Word of mouth is no different and is translating into box office results.
In the first weekend, Bramayugam collected around Rs 12 crore gross from Kerala. As per estimates, the horror thriller earned Rs 3 crore ROI (Rest of India) gross in these three days, taking the domestic collections to Rs 15 crore gross. Overseas, Bramayugam grossed close to $2 million (Rs 16 crore), which is amazing.
The worldwide collection of Bramayugam in the first weekend stands at Rs 31 crore gross. Bramayugam is the first film from Night Shift Studios, the production house that was established to exclusively produce thriller and horror genre films. Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, Amalda Liz and Manikandan R. Achari played prominent roles.
