Fans are going crazy over the recent Malayalam blockbuster ‘Manjummel Boys’ directed by Chidambaram. Renowned writer Jeyamohan created controversy by criticizing the film and Malayalis in his social media post. He referred to the people of Kerala as “Porukkis” and “drunkards”.
While many celebrities from the Tamil and Malayalam film industries condemned Jeyamohan for his statement, the ‘Manjummel Boys’ director’s father Chidambaram slammed the writer in his latest Facebook post. This is now doing the rounds among netizens. In the viral post, Sathish Poduval wrote:
“Dear friends, it should not be surprising that the film ‘Manjummel Boys’ provoked RSS cadre Jayamohanan. It is obvious. Because all the characters in this are normal people who are painters or fish cutters. There is no one from the lineage of the sixth lord! ! Without conditions!
Chidam showed the relationship between the workers. No wonder the entourage didn’t like him.
But they are not the ones who fall in love with the sixth lord and drink Pulissery. Friendship is its essence.
A big shout out to Chidam for provoking an RSS cadre like Jeyamohan.” (sic)
