Margaret Qualley to play Amanda Knox in Hulu limited series

Margaret Qualley has been cast as Amanda Knox in an untitled limited series commissioned at Hulu. Variety has learned.

Hulu has ordered eight one-hour episodes. The official description states that the show is “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongly convicted of the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year-old odyssey to free herself from it.”

KJ Steinberg (“This Is Us,” “Mistresses,” “Gossip Girl”) serves as writer and executive producer of the series. Qualley will executive produce as well as star.
