Mark Zuckerberg says Apple Vision Pro is ‘worse in many ways’ than Quest 3 | Top Vip News

Meta co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg called the latest Apple Vision Pro a worse product compared to his company’s Quest 3 on social media. Apple launched its latest Augmented Reality device last month, on February 2nd. The cutting-edge features of the product caused a stir around the world.

However, the product apparently failed to impress Facebook’s CEO. In response to a post on Instagram Threads that claimed Facebook’s product was still years behind what Apple had created, Zuckerberg said the Vision Pro just had better resolution. “Their resolution is higher, but they paid for that with many other product trade-offs that make their device worse in many ways. “That’s not what we aspire to,” he wrote.

In the same post, Zuckerberg goes on to highlight what he believes are the shortcomings of Apple’s latest product. He says: “I don’t think we’re saying our devices are the same. We’re saying Quest is better. If our devices weigh as much as theirs in 3-5 years, or have the motion blur that they do, or lack precision inputs, etc., then that means we will have taken a significant step backwards.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Mark Zuckerberg make a comparison between Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro. Last month, the Facebook co-founder uploaded a video to Instagram presenting his vision for Apple’s latest mixed reality product. He highlighted several points in favor of Facebook’s device, stating that the Quest is better for the vast majority of people.

In the video, Zuckerberg claimed that the Quest 3 has better step capture and could also have multiple windows open at once. He also focused on the comfort aspect and said that the Quest has no cables to get in the way and is comparatively lighter.

He also talked about how the Meta product has a wider field of view and brighter screens. Zuckerberg further mentioned how Apple used motion blur when people move, but Quest remains sharp in those moments. He mentioned that his product has precision drivers along with better tracking, allowing for a better gaming experience. Facebook’s CEO concluded the list by saying that a user could play Xbox games and watch YouTube natively on Quest.

Apple’s Vision Pro was launched at a high price of $3,499 (Rs 2.89 lakh), while Facebook’s Meta Quest 3 is much cheaper at $499 (Rs 41,260).
